What wasn't working.
Redecorating is a leap of faith. Interior designers are expensive, Pinterest boards don't show your room, and buying furniture on imagination alone is how spaces end up half-finished. People want to see their own room transformed — believably, instantly, and for free — before they spend a dollar.
How we built it.
A consumer web app built on Next.js and served from Cloudflare's edge. Visitors upload a photo (big phone photos are resized automatically, with in-browser camera capture on mobile), pick one of seven curated styles, and an engineered Gemini prompt restyles the furnishings while preserving the room's architecture. Every generated item is then matched to real products at budget and premium price points — which is the entire business model: free for users, affiliate commission on purchases. Fair-use daily limits and Cloudflare Turnstile keep generation costs sane, and a programmatic SEO idea library is built to feed style-specific search traffic straight into the designer.
