Alpine view above Lake Tahoe
About

25 years of systems.
A lifetime of mountains.

Watson Lake Technology Consulting is named after a quiet alpine lake tucked in the woods of Truckee, California — high above Lake Tahoe at 7,759 feet of elevation. The kind of place you reach after a long hike and finally hear yourself think.

The story

Why Watson Lake.

Watson Lake is a small alpine lake tucked in the woods of Truckee, California — behind the house of our founder. At 7,759 feet of elevation, high above the level of Lake Tahoe, it sits quietly in the pine forest, reached only by a hike. No road, no crowds, no noise.

It is the opposite of how most AI consulting gets sold: loud, hype-driven, full of buzzwords and half-built demos. Watson Lake is calm. It is clear. It has been there for a very long time, and it is not trying to impress anyone.

That is the kind of technology we want to build. Systems that are clear about what they do. That are still there next year. That do the work quietly while you focus on your business.

Experience

Built on a long foundation.

AI consulting is full of people with six months of ChatGPT experience and a Notion page full of buzzwords. We have spent 25 years shipping production business systems — and 20 years delivering Salesforce implementations across industries from finance to healthcare.

25 years

Business Systems

A quarter century building business systems across every major platform shift — desktop, web, cloud, and now AI. We know what survives, what breaks, and what was never worth building.

20 years

Salesforce

Enterprise implementations, admin work, Apex, Flow, Lightning — across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and custom builds for industries from finance to healthcare.

Claude Code

Modern AI development with Claude Code as a co-pilot. The same discipline as enterprise systems work — applied to AI automation, at a speed that used to be impossible.

— How we build
How we work

Four principles.

01

Ship or scrap.

If an automation is not in production and being used, it is not real. We measure engagements by what goes live, not what gets demoed.

02

Integrate with what you have.

You do not need a new CRM. You need the one you have to work better. Every automation we build plugs into your existing tools.

03

No hype. No half-truths.

If AI is the wrong tool, we will say so. Half our recommendations involve automation that does not touch an LLM at all.

04

Survive contact with reality.

Every system we build has logging, error handling, and fallbacks. Because real business processes are messy — and your automation needs to handle that.

Let's build something clear and durable.

Every project starts with a free 30-minute conversation. Tell us what is slow, what is broken, what is eating your team's hours — and we will show you how to multiply your output without multiplying your headcount.
